Welcome to the UCAN Football Friday Night League, a competitive/recreational yet professionally managed 7v7 football league designed for teams looking for structured gameplay, fair divisions, and a premium playing experience.
League Overview
Start Date: Friday, 26th June 2026
Match Timings: Between 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Match Day: Every Friday- 2 GAMES
Location: St. Francis Turf, I.C. Colony, Borivali
Registration Details
Total Team Registration Fee: ₹14,000 per team (7v7)
Initial Deposit: ₹5,000 to confirm your slot
Balance Payment: Remaining amount must be cleared before the league begins

Final divisions will depend on the total number of teams registered.
Team & Roster Rules
Maximum Squad Size: 10 players per team
On-Field Players: 7 (including goalkeeper)
Substitutes: 3 rolling substitutes per match
Roster Lock Policy
Final player add/remove deadline:
🗓 25th June – 11:59 PM
No player additions allowed mid-season
After the deadline, rosters are locked permanently
League Format
Match Duration:
25 minutes Game
2-minute cool-down at the end
Minimum 5 players required to start a match
Late Arrival Rule
Team arriving 10 minutes late will forfeit the match
Minimum of 5 players required to start the match
If the opposing team agrees:
Match may start with the late team playing 1 player down for the first half
League Structure
Week 1 – Grading Games
Teams play random opponents
League officials and referees assess skill levels
Teams are placed into divisions accordingly
Division requests may be considered, but final decision rests with league officials
No disputes will be entertained
Weeks 2,3,4 – Division League Matches
2 match per Friday (6 matches total)
Played within your assigned division
Points System
Win: 3 points
Draw: 1 point each
Loss: 0 points
Week 5 – Playoffs / Consolation- JUST FOR TEAMS IN PLAYOFFS
Top 4 teams qualify for playoffs
Week 5: Semi-finals and Finals
Dress Code & Jersey Submission
League provides official team jerseys
Teams must submit an Excel sheet with:
Player Name
Jersey Number
Jersey Size
🗓 Submission Deadline: 15th June
Late submissions may not be accepted
If details are not submitted on time, teams must arrange their own jerseys
Equipment Rules
Proper astro turf shoes / cleats are mandatory
Shin guards not mandatory, but highly recommended
Core Match Rules
General:
All matches start and end exactly on time
Coin toss decides kickoff or side
No grace periods for delays
Discipline:
No sliding tackles (results in a foul)(2nd sliding by any team member is a Yellow)
No sledging or physical altercations
Violations may result in removal or ban from the league
Cards:
Yellow Card: 2-minute sit out
Team plays short-handed for 2 minutes
Two yellows / straight red:
Player sent off
Automatic ban for next match and team plays one man down for entire game
Game Restart Rules:
Kick-ins replace throw-ins (all indirect)
All free kicks are indirect
Offside rule is NOT enforced
Minimum 5-yard distance on all restarts
Goal kicks can be placed anywhere inside the GK box
No Direct Goal from Goal kicks or Center starts or free kicks.
Penalties:
Awarded for fouls inside the GK box
GK must stay on the goal line until the ball is kicked
Fouls & Violations:
Pass-back to GK (by foot): Indirect free kick
Handball: Below shoulder is a foul
Slide tackling: Not permitted (exception for GK inside box)
Jewelry & unsafe equipment: Must be removed or covered
Referee Authority:
Referee decisions are final
Excessive arguing, encroachment, or abuse may result in cautions or ejections
League administrators reserve the right to issue additional disciplinary actions, even if no card was shown
Substitutions & Injuries:
Rolling substitutions allowed whenever ball is out of play.
Substitutes must enter/exit at halfway line
Referee may stop play for serious injuries
Advantage rule may be applied at referee’s discretion
Eligibility:
All players must be 16 years or older
Only registered roster players may participate
